Welcome to eMiner
Understanding your business before eMiner support starts
Every enterprise joining eMiner completes this form once. It asks about your business, how it is registered, how you sell your goods or services, what you think about becoming formally registered, how you currently work, and your access to phones and the internet. It also asks a few questions about the people in your enterprise. Your answers give us a starting picture of your enterprise, which we compare with the same questions later in the project. They are also used for eMiner's official reporting to the European Union (GREENTech4CE, Ref: AR-0283).
Before you begin
- This takes about 30 to 35 minutes. Answer as accurately as you can; you may save and finish later.
- This form asks about your business as it is today. A separate discussion about the support you need will be held in person at the boot camp.
- Question B3 tells you if you need Section G. It is only for Artisanal and Small-scale Miners (ASM) and Cooperatives.
- Sections C, E and H ask some more personal questions. You may leave these blank if you wish; it will not affect your enterprise's place in eMiner.
- 1 to 5 scales: choose the number closest to your view (1 = lowest, 5 = highest).
Data privacy: We store your answers safely, following Jacaranda Hub's data protection rules. When we publish or report results, no one can identify you or your enterprise. Self Help Africa and its auditors may check enterprise records to verify eMiner's results, for up to four years after the project's final payment. We keep your information for as long as the eMiner project runs, plus 5 more years, then we delete it. You can ask to see, change, or remove your information at any time through the MERL Unit.
