“Next Generation National Youth Incubation Challenge” is a programme targeted at young people 18 – 35 years to prepare them for the next generation work and give them the skills to ideate and develop their ventures. The programme focuses on capacity building, skills development, investor readiness and innovation. In addition, the NextGen Challenge focuses on identifying opportunities for innovation and mentoring young innovators and entrepreneurs through ideation, validation and scaling up of new products and services that benefit end-users and build successful startup companies. The specific objectives include:

Training & Mentorship

Provide training, mentorship, tools, and workspace to young innovators and entrepreneurs in new Product Development Processes and develop viable ICT products, services, processes, or platforms.

Business Development

Provide business development to entrepreneurs, monitor the progress of innovations on the market, and evaluate the contribution of local young entrepreneurs to the growth of the various key development sectors, including Agribusiness, Fintech, Green economy, E-governance, etc. Fashion.

Support Regulatory

Support regulatory compliance and generate inputs into developing ICT Innovation Policy areas to promote local innovations and entrepreneurial ecosystem development and growth.

E-Commerce Platforms

To build e-commerce platforms and accelerate startups.

Mosi-oa-Tunya pitch is an investor readiness programme that matches and connects viable startups to local and global investors. The programme helps high growth potential startups design, measure, and scale to get ready for financial investments. In addition, the pitching participants are allowed to pitch their ideas and ventures on national television to investors. The programme objectives include:

Training & Mentorship

Provide training, mentorship, and funding to over 100 Zambian startups over a 24-month period.

Mentorship Network

Develop a mentorship network of over 200 mentors across Zambia and other countries.

Global Investors

Provide access to local and global investors, incentivizing international investment into Zambia.

SHEFOUND

SheFound is a platform that showcases, exposes, transacts and explores new potential partnerships and investments of female-led enterprises. The programme supports women entrepreneurs and women-led/owned businesses to grow profitably to accelerate women’s inclusion and socio-economic empowerment. The strategy of SheFound is to accelerate socio-economic development through gender mainstreaming and the economic sustainability of women entrepreneurs and women-led enterprises. Jacaranda Hub is committed to providing educational, technical and resource support to these females, creating programs and tools that befit their business needs. This programme aims to provide market access and technical support while incorporating technology and innovation to accelerate business growth, close the gender gaps, and increase the impact through economic inclusion.
