TEAM CHECK IN
At Jhub, it is very important for us to make sure that our team members
feel connected and so we regularly check in with each other. We caught
up with Greyford and Nawa to ask them about their career path and
the reasons behind them joining the hub.
“I needed to be in a place where I could innovate. That is,
be able to conceptualize and develop solution-oriented
systems that would change the way justice is dispensed.
Understanding how stale conventional systems in the
legal space are, I knew that the only way my creative
mind would best be put to use is by subjecting myself
to an environment that allows for free flow of ideas and
immediate development of said ideas into substantial
products and/or services that would be beneficial to
others.
The world is changing, and how we run businesses as well
as manage the wheels that run the economy is totally
different from the state of affairs 10 years ago. Economic
wheels are driven by innovators who break conventional
practices. There are new problems emanating from
changing times such as effects of climate change, shifting
of social constructs such as how we do business in a
COVID stricken era as well as how to expand our market
reach where the current one is saturated.
GREYFORD MWASE
Project Lead Furthermore, restrictions imposed on physical meetings
mean that sectors that regularly run on physical gatherings
such as court sessions and similar tribunals need to adopt
a whole different system of hosting their meetups without
violating the sanctity of the judicial system. This kind of
reform may not be birthed and developed from within
the profession due to the existing bureaucracy. It may
have to take an outside institution to develop befitting
technologies to introduce to them, and this is why I joined
the Jacaranda Hub team.”
